Kirsty Jones started work at Shepherd Neame as a brewery receptionist, signing in visitors, handling public inquiries, and generally being a `welcoming face' when people first walked into our Court Street, Faversham headquarters.

Her bright, outgoing personality soon got her noticed elsewhere in the brewery, and she jumped at the opportunity to further her career by becoming a member of the national sales team, visiting licensees of a major independent pub company. Shepherd Neame beers, such as Spitfire Premium Kentish Ale, are now increasingly stocked by pubs and bars across the UK, not just southeastern Shepherd Neame houses.

"I loved my receptionist job, but I was pleased that I'd been noticed behind the desk," says Kirsty. "I really enjoy my new role, traveling and meeting lots of different people, and I like to think I'm doing a good job!"
